Come Eat Together

If you would like to enjoy lunch out but don’t want to dine alone, Age UK County Durham’s Come Eat Together project has a solution.  Their lunch clubs provide opportunity for people aged 50 and over to dine out with others and make new friends over a nutritious, affordably priced meal.

With 2018 now underway, why not treat yourself to a nutritious low cost meal at The Green Tree, a beautiful country pub and restaurant. A warm welcome is assured from hosts the Hopson family who are inviting members of Come Eat Together to dine in style with a special low cost monthly lunch in the restaurant.

Andrea Goldie, Development Worker said, “We would like to invite people aged 50+ who may experience loneliness, want a break from caring for someone or just want to make new friends to come along and join in. This monthly lunch club at The Green Tree in Tudhoe offers diners a tasty meal in a lovely traditional country inn. They can enjoy the opportunity to chat to other people and enjoy a tasty meal, with the added bonus of no washing up”.

The next lunch will be on Tuesday 27 February 2018 at 12.30pm and diners can choose from a roast dinner, or corned beef pie with chips and vegetables, followed by a fun quiz, a guest speaker or other activities members enjoy.

Booking is essential. For more information and to book your place please contact the Come Eat Together Team on 0191 374 6577.
